Emergency

If your pet exhibits any of these symptoms, get help right away:

  • Abdominal bloating or swelling
  • Birthing problems (e.g., no puppy or kitten in more than 90 minutes)
  • Difficulty urinating
  • Eye disorder
  • Fainting or collapse
  • Heatstroke
  • Hind limb paralysis (slight or partial paralysis)
  • rolonged fever
  • rolonged or heavy bleeding
  • Repeated vomiting
  • Respiratory difficulty
  • Restlessness or retching in a large breed dog
  • Seizures
  • Trauma (e.g., hit by a car, bike, or other forceful object), even with no visible injury
  • White, bright red, bluish, brown, or dark gums (or other mucous membranes)
  • Snake bite
  • Pain

We will make effort to assist and coordinate with our clients during an emergency. If you are unable to reach us during an emergency during normal business hours please call 818-883-2600 or 818-888-8111 between 6 pm-8 am weekdays and weekends please call 818-887-2262 (AECC Emergency Hospital located at Winnetka Ave and Ventura Blvd).
